Julie Dolan is a pioneer of women’s football in Australia. She started playing at the age of 14 and became the Nation’s inaugural captain, leading the team out against New Zealand in 1979 and playing 18 full Internationals.
Julie is an FFA Hall of Fame inductee, and was named International Federation of Football Oceania Player of the Century. The prestigious medal for the Australian female player of the year is named in her honour.
